The magazine aims to inspire and empower St.Lucian and Caribbean youth. The magazine caters to a demographic that ranges between ages 18 – 50 with an isandwide reach of 36,000 subscribers and a digital reach of 57,080 St. Lucians.  The idea behind the magazine, which warranted much needed exposure, was built on an innovative premise to highlight a cross section of St.Lucian youthful entrepreneurs who carry out business in both traditional and non-traditional sectors locally and abroad.Dazzle Magazine was conceptualized, designed, published and distributed by 123 Digital Limited. Every aspect of the magazine such as graphics, sales solicitation and the web portal www.dazzlethemag.com is managed by 123 Digital Limited.

Dazzle magazine has become an influential force from the first issues due purely to its overall reach. This extensive reach as highlighted above has been earned through aggressive island wide distribution and a carefully executed web based strategy which included the integration of social media and cloud technology into Dazzle magazine’s website www.dazzlethemag.com.

Dazzle magazine’s unique and innovative attributes are stated as follows:

  • Dazzle magazine created a new advertising medium, which allows companies to directly target young professionals and entrepreneurs thereby maximizing advertising spend. 
  • The innovative design and layout is un-parallel to any other publication in St.Lucia. The colour scheme, layout and typeface were deliberately chosen to allow for an easy read and retention of information. 
  • Dazzle magazine was not only distributed in hard copy but was also circulated electronically via the web. The magazine has a presence on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.  The aforementioned were also integrated into Dazzle Magazine’s website http://www.dazzlethemag.com. The enormous web presence further exposes local products and services featured in the magazine to an international audience. This in essence will have a positive long-term multiplier effect within our economy. 
  • 123 Digital Limited due to its proposed virtual entity concept utilized a plethora of cloud technology to bring Dazzle Magazine into existence.

The magazine was able to sustain itself from inception. The advertising revenues gained from the publication was sufficient to cover all associated cost. These cost being graphics design, editing, contributor fees, commissions and printing costs.  Dazzle Magazine through the counsel of 123 Digital Limited was able to realize the following:

  • A 30% gross margin on the first issue
  • A 5% positive variance on advertising revenue projections
  • Residual spend to cover the cost of the second issue and by extension self sufficiency of the brand

The quality of the end product has garnered much attention which led to the Company to win the Idea of the Year  ward at the St.Lucia Business Awards 2013.
